Regulatory Change – Interim Project Manager (Banking)

London | £700 - £900 | Contract

Our Client

An innovative and dynamic Bank is currently looking to appoint a Regulatory Change specialist to join their Compliance team in London. Our client offers a full suite of products and services to developing businesses in the UK, including current and deposit accounts, loans, cash management services, trade finance and foreign exchange. The Bank has had a presence in the UK for over 10 years providing access to financing solutions for some of the highest profile and fastest growing UK-based technology companies.

 

The Role

This is a multi-faceted project management position that provides support to meet business objectives. This role will report into the Business Implementation Director / Head of Change Management based in the UK.

  • Responsibility for the regulatory change portfolio / work streams (MIFID, EMIR GDPR, PSD II etc) impacting both the UK Branch and EMEA
  • Help facilitate and deliver solutions that meet the requirements of the relevant regulatory change programme.
  • Hands on development of detailed business requirements across the regulatory change portfolio
  • Provide project management expertise to support the identification and documentation of key regulations applicable to the business
  • Manage senior stakeholder work streams including the organization / chairing of project working groups and steering committee meetings
  • Partner with colleagues across other geographies in developing plans (i.e. PSD II) ensuring compliance with the firm’s framework.
  • Provide regular reporting and management dashboards working closing with senior stakeholders and Business Owners

Key Requirements

 

  • Deep knowledge / understanding of the regulatory environment coupled with previous banking experience covering MIFID, PSD II, EMIR and other Regulatory projects
  • Demonstrate experience managing multiple, complex and cross-functional/cross-geography business initiatives/projects
  • First-hand experience performing multiple roles associated with the “end to end” business initiative/ project life cycle including:
    • Full life cycle Project Management
    • Business/Operational Analysis, including requirements elicitation and specification
    • QA/Testing
    • Product Management
    • Customer Service
    • Business/Operational preparedness
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including senior management level presentation skills and ability to communicate with leadership across business teams
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization; distilling complex data/situations into discrete understandable components
