Paraplanner
Our client, an established Financial Advice firm are seeking a driven and technically skilled Paraplanner with 2–4 years’ experience in a financial advisory environment. This is not a traditional role – they are building something different, and you’ll play a central part in shaping the future of financial advice.
As Paraplanner you will be working alongside the financial advisers and operations team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, FCA-compliant suitability reports, conducting detailed investment analysis, and contributing to the development of strategic retirement planning and cash flow models.
Role Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and compliant suitability reports across pensions and investments
- Interpret and extract key data from pension and investment provider documents for plan evaluation.
- Generate and update fact find documentation in collaboration with advisers and clients.
- Build and analyse cash flow models and retirement plans in line with client goals.
- Integrate investment performance analysis, including average and cumulative fund returns.
- Work with modern technologies and internal tools to support scalable and efficient advice delivery.
- Incorporate advice charges, platform costs, and product fees accurately within recommendations.
- Liaise closely with financial advisers to structure holistic, goal-oriented financial plans.
- Assist in the evolution of our advice process through feedback, innovation, and testing of tools.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulatory changes.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within a UK financial advisory or wealth management firm.
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of UK pensions, investments, tax wrappers, and financial products.
- Proven experience in writing suitability reports and conducting product and provider analysis.
- Comfortable using cash flow modelling tools and performance reporting platforms.
- Technologically proficient – open to working with new, non-traditional software solutions.
- High attention to detail, ability to manage workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
