Meet Anna Desouza, the Administrative Assistant for our office in London.
How long have you been at MERJE?
I’ve been at MERJE for five months now, and I’m really enjoying it. Before MERJE I worked at a secondary school performing various admin roles, and I taught a little Textiles as well.
What do your responsibilities include?
I do the administration for the Consultants in our London office, which includes formatting CVs, updating our Candidate databases, adding job adverts to website, even arranging social events!
I also do the general office admin tasks, such as ordering stationary, water and other bits and bobs. And I’m also involved in ad hoc projects which involve lots of spreadsheets and numbers. All good fun!
What advice do you give to Candidates when preparing their CVs?
Keep it as simple as possible. Focus on quality over quantity, and maybe highlight what you want people to notice first, whether it is specific job experience or skills.
Also, tailor your CV to the job you are applying for to help you get a better chance of being considered.
I chose MERJE because it was the perfect choice for me. It’s not overly corporate and it’s like a big family. Everyone gets on really well and treats each other with respect. It’s a really nice working environment.
For Candidates and Clients – it’s a smart choice as everyone is very professional, experienced and dedicated. It’s a smaller business making it more personable and so the consultants have more time for you.
