We are seeking a Chief Risk & Compliance Officer for a leading insurance company. This senior role requires extensive experience in regulated insurance, complex operational businesses, and knowledge of pricing regulations. The successful candidate will lead the Risk and Compliance function, develop policies, and act as the primary FCA contact.

£120,000 - £130,000 plus attractive package including equity.

Location: Hybrid working, time spent between our London office and homeworking.

The Role

The Chief Risk & Compliance Officer will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Board. This role offers the opportunity to shape compliance and risk strategies in a dynamic, customer-focused environment with competitive benefits and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities of the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer:

  • Develop and maintain group compliance policies and procedures
  • Oversee enterprise-wide risk management framework
  • Lead risk and compliance professionals, ensuring high standards
  • Act as primary contact with the FCA
  • Report on compliance and risk matters to the Board

Required knowledge and experience for the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer role:

  • Extensive experience in regulated insurance
  • Knowledge of complex operational businesses and customer risks
  • Familiarity with pricing regulations (GIPP)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities
