MERJE has partnered with a leading multi-strategy investment firm and we’re on the lookout for a talented Compliance Officer join their London team. This role supports a team of two experienced Compliance specialists and will focussed on helping them establish a robust EMEA Legal and Compliance platform as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance monitoring program
- Code of ethics/personal account dealing monitoring
- Market abuse trade surveillance
- Support compliance framework for new products and markets
- Senior Managers and Certification Regime compliance
- Oversee MiFID 2 research
- Best execution monitoring
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally gained in a buy-side firm
- Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory requirements (including FCA Handbook rules, particularly relating to MiFID 2 requirements)
- Undergraduate degree with relevant certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, FRM)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Proactive and thrives in a complex, dynamic environment
- Exercises sound commercial judgement
- Team player with strong ethical standards and high integrity
