MERJE are partnered with a successful and well established SME who supply the retail Industry with various consumer products.
Due to growth, they are looking to recruit an astute Financial Controller who would report direct to the Finance Director and would be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day finance function and offer support to the FD.
You would be managing a team of 5.
Responsibilities Include:
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
Purchase Ledger, General Ledger and Sales Ledger
Cashflow Forecasting
Preparation of Accruals and Prepayment schedules
Month End Journal postings
Maintaining fixed Asset Register
Review & authorise weekly payroll
Preparation of Weekly Sales report for the Board
Foreign Currency transactions
General Ledger Analysis
Bank Reconciliations and daily maintenance of the Cashbook
Reviewing of weekly supplier payment run
Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements and staff expenses
Monthly Review of Aged Creditor and Debtor Reports
Setting appropriate credit limits and terms for customers
Skills and Qualifications Required for the role:
Experience of working within a similar Industry (Supplier / FMCG / Wholesale)
Demonstrable experience of Staff Management
Professional Qualification such as CIMA / ACA / ACCA
