The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of First Line Risk – Motor Product for this leading insurance company. In this pivotal role, you will lead Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives specifically for the motor product line. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the governance, risk, and assurance functions for the motor product line, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk frameworks to address emerging regulatory challenges and technologies.

  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of GRC solutions and controls.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of risk and compliance professionals.

  • Drive a culture of accountability and proactive risk management across the department.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in risk and controls within the insurance industry, particularly in motor products.

  • Proven leadership in governance, risk, and assurance functions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
