​MI Analyst

MERJE is looking for a skilled MI Analyst to join a reputable Banking company. This role focuses on optimising the use of data to drive business value and achieve strategic goals. The MI Analyst will support the implementation of data strategies, collaborate with internal teams to enhance the data environment, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The Role:

The MI Analyst will execute data tasks to facilitate MI creation, regulatory reporting, and other data-related activities essential for decision-making processes. They will support the documentation of the utilisation of data, including mapping calculated metrics and MI, ensuring future auditability and alignment with strategy & governance. The MI Analyst will monitor KPIs/KRIs to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all products and functions. They will maintain high standards of data quality by implementing data governance practices, data cleansing techniques, and data validation processes. The MI Analyst will support change management initiatives related to data processes, tools, and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the MI Analyst:


- Execute data tasks to facilitate MI creation, regulatory reporting, and other data-related activities essential for decision-making processes
- Support the documentation of the utilisation of data, including mapping calculated metrics and MI, ensuring future auditability and alignment with strategy & governance

Required knowledge and experience for the MI Analyst role:


- Degree/Advanced degree and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience working in the financial services sector
- Track record of providing data to deliver on a project objective
- Experience of technical analytical platforms – ideally Python or SQL as well as MS Excel
- Understanding of the Financial Services sector with specific focus on Banking
