MERJE are working with a Non-Life Insurance client in their search for a Qualified Actuary to join as Deputy Head of Actuarial function.

This will very much be with the view of progressing to Head of, in the not so distant future – so we’re looking for those who aspire to be at that level in the next couple of years of their careers.

Ideally, candidates at this level of seniority will have a solid understanding of all major Actuarial concepts within the Non-Life remit. However, Reserving is the main aspect we’re looking for. Those from a consultancy background within P&C insurance would also be very suitable.

As expected in a senior role, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to lead the wider Actuarial function, as well as collaborate with external stakeholders, regulators and other departments.

Applicants must be Qualified and based/eligible to work in Ireland. Expectations to work in the office will be flexible and hybrid.
