Our client a leading law firm are seeking to recruit a Regulatory Specialist to join their successful team.

The Role 

The Regulatory Specialist will act as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day compliance matters and handling mid-complexity regulatory queries autonomously.
• Advising Associates, Partners, and other stakeholders on SRA Standards & Regulations.
• Supporting and coaching junior compliance team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Drafting reports, regulatory updates, and papers for senior management.
• Leading training sessions for fee earners and new starters on compliance and regulatory topics.
• Contributing to process improvement projects within the General Counsel Team.

About You

• Strong background in compliance or in-house legal functions, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Proven knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations, with awareness of FCA compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present and report to senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A legal qualification (solicitor, lawyer) is desirable but not essential.
