We’re working with a well-established international banking group that’s looking to add a Risk Assurance Manager to its 2nd Line Risk Assurance team.

If you enjoy getting stuck into different areas of a business rather than reviewing the same thing every day, this could be a great fit. Every few months you’ll move onto a new assurance review, giving you exposure to a wide range of non-financial risks and the opportunity to work with stakeholders from across the bank and wider group.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys asking questions, analysing information and getting to the root of how well risk and controls are operating. You’ll be trusted to lead reviews from start to finish, while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team that offers plenty of support and genuine opportunities to progress.

We’re particularly keen to speak with people who have:

  • Experience leading end-to-end Internal Audit or 2nd Line Assurance reviews within a banking environment.
  • A strong understanding of risk management frameworks and assurance methodologies.
  • The ability to independently scope reviews, build testing plans and produce high-quality reports.
  • Strong analytical skills and the confidence to quickly get up to speed across different risk areas.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior audiences.
  • Around 8-10 years’ experience in Internal Audit, Risk Assurance or a similar controls-focused role.
