Head of Control Room
An established financial markets business is looking to appoint a Head of Control Room to build and lead a new global Control Room function.
This is a newly created role with a genuine build mandate. The Head of Control Room will centralise activities currently managed across different regions, establish a consistent global operating model and build a small, high-performing team based in London.
Head of Control Room – Key Responsibilities
- Design and build a centralised Global Control Room.
- Develop the operating model, controls, governance and procedures.
- Oversee key activities including Personal Account Dealing, Conflicts of Interest, Information Barriers, Insider/Restricted Lists and Market Conduct.
- Review existing systems and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency.
- Build and manage a small, high-performing team.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
Head of Control Room – Experience Required
- Strong Control Room experience within financial services.
- Detailed knowledge of MAR, PAD, conflicts, information barriers and market conduct.
- Experience building or significantly enhancing a Control Room framework or operating model.
- Experience within a fast-paced trading or markets environment would be highly relevant.
- Good understanding of Compliance technology and automation.
- Previous management experience.
- Proactive, hands-on and comfortable building a function rather than simply inheriting an established one.
