Senior Financial Crime QA Manager – 12 Month FTC
Senior Financial Crime QA Manager – 12 Month FTC
We are working with a leading Wealth Management firm to recruit a Senior Financial Crime QA Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a senior Financial Crime role with responsibility for leading Quality Assurance activity across a significant remediation programme, while also supporting the development of the wider Financial Crime QA and assurance framework.
The role will cover key areas including high-risk clients, CDD/KYC, PEPs, sanctions, transaction monitoring and wider Financial Crime controls, with a strong focus on QA methodology, control effectiveness, thematic reviews, governance and reporting.
This is NOT an individual contributor role. You will manage and provide technical leadership to a small QA team, ensuring quality and consistency while helping to develop the overall assurance capability.
You will report directly into the MLRO and work closely with other senior stakeholders across Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Operations and the wider business. The ability to provide credible challenge and operate confidently with senior stakeholders will be essential.
What we’re looking for

- Extensive experience within Financial Crime Compliance, Quality Assurance, controls testing, assurance, Internal Audit or a closely related financial services discipline
- Strong knowledge of UK Financial Crime regulation, risks and associated controls
- Proven experience of developing and delivering risk-based assurance frameworks, thematic reviews and control effectiveness testing
- Strong leadership and people management experience, including managing and developing teams
- Strong analytical and root-cause analysis capability, with experience identifying control weaknesses and driving improvements
- Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to provide independent and credible challenge
- Previous experience operating at a senior/management level – this is essential given the level of responsibility and stakeholder exposure
Experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking or Financial Planning would be highly desirable, as would experience supporting a significant regulatory remediation or risk and control transformation programme.
