MERJE is seeking a Senior Fraud Investigations Specialist for a global business as a result of continued growth. This role offers the chance to lead complex investigations, produce high-impact intelligence reports, and mentor team members in a global fraud operations environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in fraud investigations within the payment services sector.

Location: West Yorks – Hybrid working 

The Role

As a Senior Fraud Investigations Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting the company from fraud risks. You’ll conduct forensic-level investigations, deliver intelligence to key stakeholders, and play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Fraud Investigations Specialist:

• Lead and manage complex, high-priority fraud investigations
• Produce strategic intelligence reports for key stakeholders
• Mentor less experienced investigators and foster their professional growth
• Maintain expertise in company products, policies, and processes
• Contribute to the evolution of fraud prevention frameworks

Required knowledge and experience for the Senior Fraud Investigations Specialist role:

• Significant experience in complex fraud investigations, preferably in payments/b2b payments
• Proficiency with investigative tools and link analysis software such as i2
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Deep industry knowledge and understanding of emerging threats
