Senior Risk Manager
Opportunity to join a widely recognised, forward thinking, innovation driven financial services business as they look to expand their 1st Line UK Risk Office with the addition of an experienced Senior Risk Manager.
The successful candidate will operate within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment that values diverse perspectives, fosters innovation, and constructively challenges established practices. As a key contributor, the individuals will engage closely with senior leaders across the business and risk functions, as well as with stakeholders in Marketing & Analytics, Compliance, Legal, and Operational Risk Management, gaining broad exposure and influence throughout the organization.
Role Overview
As a Senior Risk Manager, you will, support Customer Operations by providing professional risk judgment, help business partners tackle challenges using data-driven insights and strategic risk management.
Analyse complex situations, create order out of uncertainty, and enable confident decision-making, collaborate across multiple functions, including senior business leaders, Compliance, Legal, and Operational Risk Management.
You’ll be at the intersection of strategy, risk, and operations, making sure business goals align with regulatory and operational risk standards.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business strategies, products, services, and risk profiles.
Identify risks arising from regulatory changes and evaluate their impact.
Analyse operational and business data to detect risk trends.
Provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.
Advise business partners on risk policies and programs.
Identify gaps in risk management and escalate appropriately.
Contribute to process improvement and ensure excellent customer outcomes.
Support audits and regulatory examinations.
Ensure effective risk remediation and mitigation.
Present complex risk topics clearly to senior leaders and stakeholders.
