MERJE is seeking a Treasury Analyst for a leading Building Society in the financial services sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key financial reporting and analysis, playing a crucial part in the company’s financial management and regulatory compliance. The position would initially be for a 3 month contract, with possibility of extension.

Location: Preston. Expectation to be in the office when the business needs, but predominantly working from home.

The Role

As a Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing Treasury ALM reporting, assisting with regulatory returns, and contributing to financial forecasting. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities of the Treasury Analyst:

• Lead the preparation of ALM reports for ALCO and regulatory returns
• Produce cash flow forecasts and maintain key performance indicators
• Assist in the production of monthly Management Accounts
• Ensure regulatory software is updated and maintained
• Contribute to the preparation of Annual Reports and Accounts

Required knowledge and experience for the Treasury Analyst role:

• Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Understanding of key regulatory requirements in financial services
• Experience with spreadsheet modelling and financial reporting
• Knowledge of Treasury systems, particularly ALMIS (desirable)
