Risk & Compliance Officer
Risk & Compliance Officer
Cheshire | Hybrid Working – 2 days office
Join a growing, technology-led financial services business where Risk & Compliance is at the heart of decision-making.
We’re recruiting a Risk & Compliance Officer to join a fast-paced, FCA-regulated organisation that is investing heavily in its governance and control environment.
This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure across Compliance, Operational Risk, Financial Promotions, Appointed Representative Oversight and Regulatory Governance. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business, helping shape a strong compliance culture while ensuring customers remain at the centre of every decision.
If you enjoy variety, autonomy and influencing the business rather than simply policing it, this could be an excellent next step.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s regulatory and risk framework, including:
- Supporting compliance with FCA regulations including SYSC, PRIN, COND and ICOBS
- Reviewing and approving financial promotions across digital and offline channels
- Managing Appointed Representative oversight, including monitoring and due diligence
- Maintaining risk registers, control testing and operational risk reporting
- Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and thematic testing
- Supporting incident, breach and customer outcome investigations
- Drafting and reviewing policies, procedures and governance documentation
- Providing day-to-day compliance advice to stakeholders across the business
- Delivering compliance training and promoting a positive risk culture
- Producing meaningful MI and reporting for senior management
About You
We’re looking for someone who can combine technical regulatory knowledge with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience within an FCA-regulated financial services business
- A solid understanding of FCA regulations including SYSC, PRIN, COND and ICOBS
- Experience across Compliance Monitoring, Operational Risk or broader Risk & Compliance
- Knowledge of financial promotions and/or Appointed Representative oversight would be highly advantageous
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with excellent stakeholder management
- The confidence to challenge constructively while building strong working relationships
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a growing business
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a business where Risk & Compliance has genuine influence. You’ll gain broad exposure across multiple disciplines, work closely with senior decision-makers and play an important role in strengthening the firm’s governance framework as it continues to grow.
If you’re looking for a varied role where you can make a visible impact while continuing to develop your career within Risk & Compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
Applicants must be located and eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
