A leading financial services network is looking to appoint a Third-Party Assurance Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing Risk Advisory Services team.
This is a single appointment, with the level and salary package dependent on experience.
The role
You’ll play a key role in delivering and developing the firm’s Third-Party Assurance offering, managing a portfolio of client engagements and working closely with senior stakeholders.
You’ll have responsibility for the full delivery lifecycle, from initial scoping through to final reporting, while also supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to the wider growth of the service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Third-Party Assurance and controls-based assurance engagements.
- Plan and deliver engagements in line with recognised assurance standards, including ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3402.
- Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders.
- Scope assurance activity using a risk-based and proportionate approach.
- Review working papers and reports, ensuring high-quality and technically robust outputs.
- Line manage, coach and develop junior team members.
- Manage engagement budgets, WIP and billing.
- Support Partners and Directors with client work and wider business development.
- Contribute to proposals, pitches and the continued growth of the Third-Party Assurance service.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in Third-Party Assurance, controls-based assurance or a closely related area, with the technical knowledge and confidence to lead client engagements.
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering Third-Party Assurance or controls-based assurance engagements.
- Strong knowledge of assurance standards such as ISAE 3000 / ISAE 3402.
- A good understanding of controls design, operating effectiveness and assurance reporting.
- Experience working with complex, regulated, listed or not-for-profit organisations.
- Experience leading engagements from planning and scoping through to delivery and reporting.
- Strong senior stakeholder and client management skills.
- Experience managing, coaching and developing others.
- A commercially aware approach, with experience managing multiple engagements, budgets and competing priorities.
- A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
Experience with AI testing tools would also be desirable.
