Compliance Manager – Nominated Officer (1 Day per Week)

We’re partnering with a growing HMRC regulated business looking to appoint an experienced Compliance Manager / Nominated Officer to work closely with the CEO in a strategic advisory capacity.

This isn’t a traditional operational compliance role. Instead, you’ll become the trusted compliance expert for the business, providing practical advice, maintaining the compliance framework and ensuring the organisation continues to meet its regulatory obligations.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Acting as the firm’s HMRC Nominated Officer.
• Supporting regulatory engagement and managing HMRC interactions.
• Leading or supporting compliance audits.
• Acting as the senior escalation point for AML and compliance matters.
• Advising on CDD and customer due diligence where required.
• Helping improve and automate onboarding and compliance processes.
• Providing ongoing strategic advice to the CEO and wider business.
• Keeping policies, procedures and controls up to date.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Nominated Officer, MLRO or senior Compliance Manager within an HMRC regulated business.
• Strong knowledge of UK AML regulations and financial crime controls.
• Experience dealing directly with regulators.
• A commercial, pragmatic approach and the confidence to operate independently.
• An interest in improving systems and making compliance processes more efficient.
